Stipend and Contract Details for National Youth Service (NYS) Programme
✔️ Successful candidates will receive a R3,500 monthly stipend for a fixed 24-month contract.
✔️ Contracts will not be extended beyond the 24-month period.
Who Can Apply? (Eligibility Criteria)
To qualify for these government job opportunities, you must:
✅ Be a South African citizen, aged 18 to 33 (participants must be below 35 for the entire contract).
✅ Have passed Grade 11 or higher and hold the relevant qualifications.
✅ Possess a valid South African ID.
✅ Reside in one of the five Gauteng regions (City of Johannesburg, City of Tshwane, City of Ekurhuleni, Sedibeng, or Westrand).
✅ Be available for the entire two-year programme and willing to sign a contract.
✅ No criminal record (background checks will be conducted).
✅ Not have previously participated in the NYS Programme.
✅ Not be a director or partner of a registered company (CSD).
🚨 Important: If you do not hear back within three months after the closing date, consider your application unsuccessful.
