SRD Replication 2024 online application

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has started accepting applications for the SRD Grant for the 2023/2024 financial year and, get your SRD Replication 2024 online application done right.

The SRD Grant is a temporary grant that is available to unemployed South African citizens, refugees, asylum seekers, and special permit holders who are between the ages of 18 and 60 years old and who have insufficient means to support themselves.

To apply for the SRD Grant, you must meet the following NEW eligibility criteria:

  • You must be a South African citizen, refugee, asylum seeker, or special permit holder.
  • You must be between the ages of 18 and 60 years old.
  • You must have insufficient means to support yourself.
  • You must not be receiving any other social grants.
  • You must not be contributing to or eligible for Unemployment Insurance Fund (UIF) payments.
  • You must not have any financial support from any other source.

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can apply for the SRD Grant online at the SASSA website. To apply online, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Your South African ID number or refugee/asylum seeker/special permit number
  • Your full name and date of birth
  • Your contact information (phone number and email address)
  • Your banking details (bank name, account number, and branch code)
  • Your employment information
  • Your lifestyle sustainability information

Once you have submitted your application, you will receive an SMS notification with your application reference number. You can use your application reference number to track the status of your application online.

The SRD Grant is a monthly grant of R350. If your application is approved, you will receive your grant payment through one of the following channels:

  • Direct deposit into your bank account
  • Cash Payout at a Boxer, Shoprite, Pick n Pay, Checkers, or Usave supermarket
  • Money transfer via one of the major banks

The deadline to apply for the SRD Grant for the 2023/2024 financial year is March 31, 2024.
