Setholela Primary School Fees

The most effective way to explain the fees for this year at Setholela Primary School is to first clarify Setholela Primary School’s Quantile so that you have a better understanding. Quintiles 1-3 are no-fee schools that receive R1,177 per learner from the Department of Education, while Quintile 4 schools receive R590 per learner. Quintile 5 schools receive R204 per learner and must charge fees as government funds alone are insufficient to cover operating costs. Testimonials & Reviews by parents

Setholela Primary School has a lot going for it, but it falls short when it comes to accommodating Tshivenda-speaking students. Our child had to settle for learning Zulu instead of their home language. While our child performed well in Zulu and achieved good grades, we couldn’t help but feel that their connection to their cultural heritage was somewhat overlooked. We hope the school administration takes note of this issue and takes steps to improve language diversity within the curriculum.Parents Setholela Primary School is overall a good school, but it falls short in adequately catering to Tshivenda-speaking students. Our child had to choose Zulu as an alternative language since Tshivenda was not properly offered. Although our child performed well in Zulu, we believe that offering Tshivenda would have been more beneficial for their linguistic and cultural growth. We hope the school will take steps to improve language inclusion in the future.Parents
