Q-House Fees

To understand Q-House’s fee structure for this year, it’s best to first explain the school’s Quantile, which indicates its financial standing. In the South African education system, schools are categorised into quintiles based on their economic conditions. Quintiles 1-3 are considered no-fee schools, receiving R1,177 per learner in funding from the Department of Education. Quintile 4 schools receive R590 and Quintile 5 schools receive R204 per learner and are fee-paying as they cannot sustain their operations with government funding alone. To ease the fees burden, parents can choose to pay monthly. However, paying upfront for the whole year may result in discounts ranging from 3% to 10%. Additionally, parents with multiple dependents may request sibling discounts of up to 10%.
