Pass Rate Explained

The 2023 Johannesburg Secondary School pass rate is increased to 85,3% as compared to 72,3% in 2022. This resulted in Johannesburg Secondary School Ranking No.: 356 in 2023 within the province (below Hofmeyr Secondary School that is currently ranking No.: 355, then followed by Willowmead Sec School at No.: 357 and Steve Tshwete Secondary School ranking No.: 358.

So in general, the pass rate is increased.

2021 Pass Rate

In 2021, Johannesburg Secondary School registered 179 learners to write the Grade 12 National Senior Certificate (NSC) examinations. Of the 179 learners who wrote the exams, 10 were unsuccessful, while 148 learners were Top Achievers (including Bachelor, Diploma and Certificates).
