Eastern Cape to Host G20 Education Indaba: Focusing on Foundational Learning and Educators

Big news for educators! The Eastern Cape is gearing up to host a pretty important shindig next year. The G20 Provincial Indaba, focusing on education, will be taking place in East London on the 20th and 21st of August, 2025. Think of it as a massive get-together for teachers, educational experts, and anyone passionate about the future of learning.

The event, organised in collaboration with the South Africa Department of Basic Education, aims to tackle some crucial questions about how we can improve the quality of foundational learning – that’s the essential stuff kids need to get right from the start. They’ll also be discussing how best to support our fantastic education professionals, making sure they’re equipped to navigate the ever-changing world.

The theme, “Quality Foundational Learning and Education Professionals for a Changing World,” pretty much says it all. It sounds like there’ll be lots of opportunities to share ideas, learn from best practices, and network with colleagues from across the country.
